County Contract

SILVER SPRING, MD - The County of Fairfax awarded Dynamic
Access Systems a contract to design, implement, and operate
an accounts receivable system for the School-Aged Child Care
Program. The contract is for three years with an option to
renew for another two years. The DynAccSys system and service
will not only improve operational efficiencies, but it will
also significantly reduce the workload of Fairfax County staff
through the automation of many manual functions.

About Fairfax County School Aged Child Care Program
Fairfax County operates an extensive child care system in conjunction
with the Fairfax County Public Schools. There are currently
125 centers with the number of centers expanding each year.
Nearly 9,000 families are served by the centers. The service
provided include before school, after kindergarten, and after
school child care during the school year, sessions for winter
and spring school break, and year round sessions including the
summer. The monthly fees are set annually by the Fairfax County
Board of Supervisors and generate revenue of approximately $17
million a year. Fees are assessed on a sliding scale based on
adjusted family income.
